Judith A. Freeman
Judith Freeman has published novels that draw upon her early experiences with Mormonism or with Mormon history, including The Chinchilla Farm (W.W. Norton, 1989), Set For Life (W.W. Norton, 1991), and Red Water (New York: Pantheon, 2002) . The Chinchilla Farm received the Association for Mormon Letters award for fiction in 1989. She is at work, with photographer Tina Burney, on a book about India, based on a recent trip funded by the Gugenheim Foundation.

Career The 1994 movie, The Gift of Love, was taken from her novel, Set for Life. She has worked as a news reporter, ski instructor, and frequently reviews for the Los Angeles Times. She is a part-time lecturer at USC.
