This monthly periodical was begun in October 1889, published by the Young Women's Mutual Improvement Association under its earlier name, Young Ladies' Mutual Improvement Associations. Founded by Susa Young Gates, It was edited by the General Board. A partial continuation of The Contributor, this journal was ultimately absorbed by The Improvement Era.
