Summary:
The letter is from Elizabeth Cumming, wife of in-coming Governor Cumming, addressed to the Governor's sister, Sarah. The letter relates the journey of the Governor, Elizabeth, and several others in three "ambulances" from Fort Bridger to Salt Lake City, and their initial impressions of Salt Lake City. The journey was from June 3 to June 8, 1858, and the letter was dated June 17.
