Summary:
Members of an underground crime ring are being murdered. Holmes' investigation leads him to the beautiful Mrs. Pyke and to a stately ancestral home -- complete with screams in the foggy night, cloaked figures moving through secret passages, and a sinister Asian butler. The story bears little resemblance to the original A. Conan Doyle mystery.
