From the cover: "Brigham City is the terrifying tale of a small town held hostage by an unknown serial killer. As the people of Brigham lock their doors and windows, paralyzed by fear, they can only wait for news of the next victim. This fiercely fascinating murder mystery will keep you on the edge of your seat until the shocking, final twist!"

This is Richard Dutcher's second LDS theatrical film, after his breakthrough God's Army. These films' success paved the way for the other LDS-themed productions that have followed. It did not, however, recoup its cost in its initial release, and Dutcher entered a four-year dry spelll after its release, attempting to create his film on Joseph Smith and eventually making States of Grace.
