Summary:
Sage is 15 and, believing that she's a wonderful writer, creates a romance novel about Angelica and her hero. Sage's best friend George knows her writing is awful, but he doesn't want to hurt her feelings. Sage is determined to enter her novel in a writing contest. Chapters alternate between his and her accounts with samples of Sage's novel and George's poetry, as their own relationship moves toward romance.
